FSM Prep Rally Week 9Welcome back to The FSM Prep Rally on Franchise Sports Media. The 702 High School football scene was full of exciting games and lots of upsets during Week 8. In Week 9 we have a battle in the North, some really good 4-A games, and lots of movement in the FSM Top 10 Rankings that will have you in your feelings.

 

Week 8 Recap:

 

Week 8 on the 702 High School football scene was action-packed. Franchise Sports Media went to four games around the Valley and got highlights from three of them. Let’s start off on the North Eastside side of town where Silverado traveled to Cheyenne and from the opening kickoff, the Skyhawks controlled the game.

All three phases of Silverado scored against Cheyenne. First, the offense got the scoring rolling with a rushing touchdown. Next, the Skyhawks returned a punt for a touchdown, and finally, they captured the trifecta on an interception returned for a touchdown. Silverado led Cheyenne 59-0 at halftime, which also was the final score of the game.

FSM also went to the homecoming game at Rancho High School, where the Rams hosted Eldorado. The Sun Devils and Rams really getting after it, but Rancho was too much for Eldorado beating them 34-7. Jamaal Greene, Mason Reams, and Da’shawn Jones all had rushing touchdowns for the Rams.

“We knew we had to get our running game going,” Rams head coach Leon Evans said. “We can’t expect our quarterbacks to throw the ball 30 times a game and win. We are starting to figure it out.”

In the final game FSM highlighted, Coronado came back to beat Shadow Ridge. The Cougars were led by quarterback Josh Andrade, who passed for three touchdowns. Coronado overcame the lights going out and an 11-point second-half deficit in a 25-21 win over the Mustangs.

“When the kids come back down to earth tomorrow they will realize everything we have told them about working and keep fighting will come alive if you keep the path and keep working,” Coronado coach Fred Biletnikoff Jr. said.
