Terrance "TQ" Quaites
Co-Founder + President
Terrance “TQ” Quaites is a founding partner, president and steward of Franchise Sports Media. TQ is a songwriter and singer from Compton, California and graduated from Junipero Serra High School in Gardena. TQ has enjoyed a 30-year career in the music industry and worked with some of the biggest artists in music, including Lil Wayne, NSYNC, Cameo, and Too Short to name a versatile few. TQ has always loved sports and sports coverage. In 2019, TQ came together with longtime friend Joe Arrigo to create FSM. TQ serves as the company’s CEO, Editor-in-chief, Head of Marketing, and is a part of the photography staff. TQ is also the co-host of The Franchise Podcast with Joe and TQ.
Joe Arrigo
Co-Founder + Vice President
Joe has been in media since 2004 when he became the morning host on KKUU and mid-days co-host on KXPS in Palm Springs. After his time in Palm Springs, Joe became the operations manager where he built, programmed, and was on-air for KQCM. He has also had stints on-air in various markets, including Fresno. Joe became the producer and co-host for The Beast 980 (KFWB), a sports talk station in Los Angeles, before moving to Vegas in 2015. In 2019, he founded Franchise Sports Media with TQ.
Trisha LaCoste
Creative Director
Trisha has been photographing people for over twenty years. In 2010, she added videography to her skillset and began shooting music videos, branding videos, and highlight reels. She discovered her love for action photography when her kids played sports. A bit of a nomad, Trisha has lived all over but settled in Vegas in 2021 to build Franchise Sports Media with TQ and Joe. She oversees all visuals aspects of the company from photography and videography to the website and graphics.
Kyla LaCoste

Kyla began her photography career at the young age of 13. With her mom's old DSLR, she learned how to set her camera manually and was running a legit photography business by the time she got to high school. She spent a good portion of her teenage years shooting senior portraits. As a member of the yearbook staff at her school, she got tons of experience shooting sports and moved to Vegas in 2022 to attend college and to be a part of The Franchise.
Griffin Kemp
Combat Sports & HS Football Reporter
From Salt Lake City, Utah, Griffin moved to Las Vegas where he played high school football and eventually went on to play college football for Cal Poly where he earned his degree in Communications and Media study. As a reporter, Griffin has worked covering multiple sports and events including college football and the NFL Draft. Griffin covers high school football in Las Vegas and is a contributor to FSM’s Prep Rally. Griffin also co-hosts FSM’s The Main Event covering MMA, Boxing, and all other combat sports.
Kalani Lua
Combat Sports Reporter
Kalani Lua joined FSM in 2019 and has been the lead combat sports contributor. For the 2021-2022 NFL season, he was the weekly pre and post game Las Vegas Raiders writer. He has contributed to coverage for High School football, presented several highlight articles for basketball and is a co-host of The Main Event show on FSM. He has been involved in covering MMA and boxing since 2013 and his love and passion for sports help lead him to find his way to working with Franchise Sports Media.
Che Jones
Lead UNLV Basketball Reporter
Ché Jones is a former college basketball coach at Northern Arizona University, Columbus State Community College, and won a National Championship in 2014 at Phoenix College in Arizona. The former head basketball coach of the Las Vegas Venom of the American Basketball Association (ABA). Che graduated from Las Vegas High School and is one of the most knowledgeable people when it comes to UNLV Basketball.
Jake Ideguchi-Furukawa
Lakers and UNLV Basketball Reporter
Jake Ideguchi-Furukawa started out as an intern for Franchise Sports Media in the Fall of 2022 as a senior at UNLV. He covered the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels and the Los Angeles Lakers simultaneously, while still performing his full-time student duties. He also participated in on-campus organizations such as the Scarlet & Gray student newspaper, covering the Rebel football team, and the Rebel Report. Jake graduates from UNLV with a bachelors degree in Sports Media Journalism at the end of Spring 2023.
Alon Sowell
Photographer/Videographer
Alon has been with FSM since 2022. In that same year he was also the lead photographer for MileSplit, providing their sole coverage for high school track and field in Las Vegas. Alon is a native of Los Angeles, CA who relocated to Las Vegas in 2005. From 2001-2015, Alon worked in sports medicine and chiropractic care, in various roles ranging from athletic trainer to physicians assistant. He currently works as a compliance officer for Dignity Health. Aside from photography and healthcare, Alon is active in masters track and field as a sprinter and long jumper. Alon has won various regional and nation titles, as well as international gold, silver, and bronze for team USA in 2019.
Gabe Santiago
Lead Raiders Reporter
Gabe Santiago covers the Silver & Black beat at Franchise Sports Media while also working in the Raiders’ media department. Hailing from the Golden State of California, he grew up in the Bay Area competing in myriad athletics before graduating from UC San Diego. Previously affiliated with KNBR in San Francisco and Circa Sports in Las Vegas, Gabriel also calls play-by-play for UNLV Athletics.
Cole Huff
Lead Aces Reporter
Cole Huff is entering his third season covering WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces for Franchise Sports Media. He incorporates his basketball background into his writing as a former professional player in Europe and the NBA G League. He is an Altadena, Calif., native and a graduate of Creighton University.
Mia Green
Sports Reporter
Mia Green is a full-time sophomore student at UNLV. She is a part of on-campus organizations such as Rebel Report where she covers UNLV’s Runnin’ Rebel Basketball Team. Mia is apart of The Rebel HD2 Student Radio as well as The Scarlet and Gray Newspaper, where she wrote weekly articles covering the UNLV Football team. Mia comes from a small town in New Mexico, graduating from Piedra Vista High School as a four year letterman of Piedra Vista’s Dance Team. She is very family-oriented and driven to success. Mia has a passion and love for all things sports which was extremely influenced by her parents as she attended several different sports arenas and stadiums as a young girl. She graduates in the Spring of 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Sports Media.
