The Oakland Raiders will go head to head against the Jacksonville Jaguars at 1:05 p.m. PT on Sunday at RingCentral Coliseum in what will be the final NFL game in Oakland for the Raiders. Heading into this matchup, Oakland is currently sitting at 6-7 overall and 5-2 at home after coming off of a tough loss last Sunday against the Tennessee Titans. Meanwhile, Jacksonville is 4-9 overall and 2-4 on the road. Las Vegas wise guys have Oakland favored by 6.5 points in the latest Raiders vs Jaguars odds.

Although the Raiders haven’t been eliminated from the playoff race, they need some help to clinch a spot heading into the postseason. However, it all starts by capitalizing on their final home game vs. the Jaguars. Following this season, the Raiders will be packing their bags and moving into their new home awaiting them in Las Vegas, Allegiant Stadium.

In last week’s outing against the Titans, Oakland gave up 21 unanswered points in the second half. Raiders quarterback Derek Carr threw for a total of 263 yards and two touchdowns on 34 attempts, overall finishing with a passer rating of 115.20. However, even with the Raiders’ struggles as of late, the Jaguars haven’t been much different. Their latest loss came at the hands of the Los Angeles Chargers, resulting in five consecutive losses.

The solution to assist in Carr’s recent struggles on the offensive end could be the return of running back Josh Jacobs (shoulder), who is questionable for this matchup after missing his first NFL game last week. In just 12 games, Jacobs has rushed for a total of 1,061 yards and seven touchdowns. Having an asset such as Jacobs back in the lineup can only hold positive results in helping Carr’s play. To get this ship sailing in the right direction, Oakland will need to improve on the defensive end. The 42 points that were given up to the Titans in last week’s game ties a season-high.

On the defensive end, both the Raiders and the Jaguars have been inconsistent throughout this season, which has been the main contribution to their losing streaks. The Jaguars are currently ranked 25th in the league on the defensive end. They are giving up 25.9 points per game. Oakland is sitting four spots below them ranked 29th in the league, giving up 28.2.

It will be an emotional game for both teams as well as the fans. For the Raiders, playing their final game in Oakland should be all the motivation they need to end their time there on a positive note. In addition, the possibility of getting Jacobs back out on the field opening up more options on the offensive side could be the boost that the Raiders need. Being the last game in Oakland, this is the week for the Raiders to leave it all out on the field. This could end up being a close and high scoring game but expect the Raiders to leave The Town for the last time with a win.
