After losing three straight games, two on the road, UNLV returns home to face Abilene Christian.

Monday nights game will be the first of four straight home games for the Runnin’ Rebels.

The four games will be part of the Southwestern Showdown; a multiple-team event played in a round-robin format.

Junior guard and team captain Amauri Hardy is currently leading UNLV in scoring with 17.5 points per game.

Abilene Christian, of the Southland Conference, is coached by Joe Golding, who is now in his seventh season as head coach for the Wildcats. Last season, their program had its most successful season in their history of being in Division I. They finished the season with a record of 27-7, won their conference, and made their first-ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament.

Senior guard Payten Ricks currently leads the Wildcats in scoring with 18.3 PPG.

Runnin’ Rebels head coach TJ Otzelberger is hoping that the team can learn from the experience of playing three straight power-five conference opponents, and use that experience to dominate their four-game homestand.

The game will take place at the Thomas & Mack Center on Monday, Nov. 18, at 7 pm. If you can’t make it down to the arena, you can stream the game on UNLVRebels.com.
