The five-game road trip ended on a high note for the Golden Knights as they won their fourth straight game, winning 5-3 against the Philadelphia Flyers at Wells Fargo Center.

Everyone’s looking forward to getting home,” coach Bruce Cassidy said. “But once the puck drops, the guys are in a good place.”

The Golden Knights finished 4-1 on their road trip. The win also improved their road record to 21-7-5 this season, and are at an NHL-best 13-2-2 since the All-Star break.

A trip like this, especially when you get to the end, you’ve got to find a way to win,” defenseman Alex Pietrangelo said.

Ivan Barbashev scored twice, Jonathan Marchessault scored and had two assists, and Pavel Dorofeyev scored for the Golden Knights; Jonathan Quick finished the game with 27 saves.

We showed a lot of resiliency. Found ways to win games [on this trip],Vegas center Jack Eichel said. “Each game had its own story, and we found ways to win. [With] the exception of the first game in Florida (a 2-1 loss March 7), we did a good job. Some nights it was a checking, low-scoring game. That’s what we did. There were other nights where we were good offensively. It was a long road trip, and to get eight out of 10 [points] is pretty good.

Quick has a 2.22 goals-against average, a .930 save percentage, and one shutout in four starts with the Golden Knights.

Quick gives us a chance to win. Guys are comfortable with him,” Cassidy said. “Veteran guy. He does a lot of those little things, not only stop the puck. He’s been in the League a while so he’s comfortable doing it.”

The Golden Knights vs Flyers end of the first period.

Pavel Dorofeyev was the first to score to put Vegas on the board 1-0 in the first period.

The Golden Knights vs Flyers start in the second and third periods.

The second period was the same tempo for Barbashev as he scored a power-play goal two minutes into the second to extend the lead 2-0.

After giving up a goal 2-1 from Travis Sanheim, the Golden Knights answered back with a goal from Teddy Blueger to extend the lead back to two goals, 3-1.

Good to see him get rewarded,Cassidy said. “He’s been so concerned with trying to check well and make sure you’re in the right spots that sometimes he forgets about the offensive part of it. So, good for him.

The third period was still in control for Vegas; the Golden Knights were on the power play early, and Jonathan Marchessault seized that opportunity scoring and extending the lead 4-1.

After the Flyers pulled within a goal 4-3, Alec Martinez made the save of the night after diving to clear the puck out of the crease with the open net after Jonathan Quick stopped Morgan Frost.

Ivan Barbashev scored his second goal of the night, scoring an empty net goal to put the game away 5-3.

The Golden Knights vs Flyers final score was 5-3, Las Vegas.
